That looks a healthy plant pitter- patter.
Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.

They’re easy to grow. I have some seeds left if anyone fancies a few.
  • Thanks to everyone for the replies and advice, will take on  the information and let you know how things progress, thanks again everyone.

  • @pitter-patter Easy!? Lol
I sowed them about 3 weeks ago and not one has germinated   :o They are on a heated mat in my greenhouse.
All my other seedlings are romping away.

I’m growing this as well for the first time. I think mine is just about the right size to be pinched out, but I’m not sure I want bushier plants. I have six of them and not a lot of space.

@P@pitter-patter Did you pinch out the tops?  I've got 15 or so at this height and am wondering whether to pinch out ... Thanks :-

Cobea jealousy.....mine are only just germinating!  Has taken weeks....

Last time I did them I only pinched them out when they had got to about a 40cm tall.

(and it’s not damping off, it’s dog hair)

@Marran I’ve pinched out half of them.

@Helix You’ve got quite a nice selection of seedlings there.

Hi, having seen the cup and saucer vine on GW in the spring I was inspired (like others) I got some too. I have three small plants and they are.... alive. But still tiny - about ten inches. They are in sun, with a decent root system. They are just not going anywhere. I'm thinking now that it's too late in the year to do much and so am wondering about over-wintering them and trying next year. I think saw on the forum, that someone had over wintered theirs successfully, along with the Red Velour Tidal Wave. It's a shame as I was looking forward to ten foot of vigorous vine. The Tidal Wave has done pretty well.

    All thoughts welcome.

They are very, very slow growing, I wrote in the other thread, by the time they flowered it was winter and they died. I don’t think they are a plant from my climate.
