  • Hi all.
Any suggestions on the name of this rose.  It's definitely a Peter Beales rose I bought from Hampton Court last year.  It has been quite sickly as don't think it enjoyed the journey back as the temp was unbearable so I've left it alone and surprised it is even thinking of flowering.  It was in their display. Annoyed I've lost the label.
May have to wait for the flower to fully bloom but being impatient :)

jubilee celebration first bloom! Lots of buds though

Susie just getting going. Lovely perfume and super healthy bushy foliage. Some blooms are whirls some of fashioned style.

I have just been wandering around the garden, after a heavy rain yesterday,  making sure everything was ok. More roses in bloom if a bit bedraggled.  What caught my notice was the difference in fragrance between them.  The Arthur Bell is what I would call a traditional rose fragrance,  the Sheila's Perfumed smelled of turkish delight and the Blue for You had an almost lavender fragrance,  such differences!

@Jemula I’m loving that Hot Chocolate, how’s the scent?

‘Eglantyne’ holding up in the rain, the little button eye is cute I think:

@Omori -yes the scent is good on Hot Chocolate - not outstanding but very pleasant to my nose.

I also have Eglantyne - lovely photo.

My Harlow Carr standard finally looks nice. I was a bit worried when I’ve read that some people want to remove it from their garden. I am very pleased with it so far.

@pitter-patter .. that looks quite beautiful.. I'm so pleased as I was wondering about your rose... I remember you asking about it some time ago.. as it was slow to leaf out...  I think it's much better as a standard looking at that...
p.s. you have a splendid conservatory...

I should have added.. more beautiful roses up above there... Hot Chocolate looks interesting too..
