I only found suppliers in Oz and NZ, maybe thats where Robin got his. I could be wrong but I think Dysons is the first to import it to the UK. It is very pretty, would be perfect underplanted against my new white roses. What have you started Anni?!

Thank you so much everyone for your replies ! I certainly seem to have started something. I saw it on one of the programmes from Hampton Court flower show last summer and @Lyn told me the name of it (Frances Tophill was using it in a pot she was planting ). I thought now we are heading through Spring one of the salvia suppliers would be listing it, but there still only seemed to be the one. I will follow your advice and let you know if l have any success  :)

I think that one will be by cuttings only.

It does seem to be in very short supply.

AnniD, I wrote to Dyson and received this reply.

    Dear Madam,

It’s a hybrid so seed doesn’t exist. All plants are produced from cuttings.

We will have lots for sale in about a month’s time but don’t mail plants.

We are happy to bring to any of the shows/plantfairs that we exhibit at or plants can be collected from our nursery.

    Regards

@Dee73, thank you so much for that, and the prompt reply from Dysons. Unfortunately l have checked their website and all their plant fairs are miles away from me (l'm in Gloucestershire). I visited their nursery and garden about 3 years ago as part of a week's holiday around the Tunbridge Wells area and l can't see me persuading OH to go back just for one plant (well more like half a dozen or more, but you know what l mean !).
I have contacted Robin's salvias as suggested by @Rubytoo, so will see what he has to say.
Thanks again for taking the trouble, l really appreciate it  :)

AnniD, I live on the Beds/Bucks boarder if I lived nearer to them I'd get you one or two and send them to you. Like you it's a long way to go for just one or two plants. It'll be like most plants other places will see it get enquiries about it and decide to stock it but it's a case of waiting.

Thanks @Dee73 , appreciate the sentiment. I will keep my eyes open for it appearing in a year or two as it becomes more available, (hopefully !).

Your welcome AnniD only sorry I could have found one near to you. I'm going to the nursery on Thursday and will talk to the chap I know there and see if they have any intentions of having them in stock and will let you know but I do live a long way from you.

My youngest daughter used to live near the horse racing circuit in Gloucester shame she move because if I could find one it would make things easy.

    Off into the garden.

Thanks for clarifying cuttings only, I guessed that was to be the case.
