The Spike food is under £4 a bag and lasts 2/3 weeks for us.

‘Our’ hedgehogs like meatbased Go Cat type kitten biscuits better than anything else ... even better than Spikes Moist hedgehog food.

Quick update no sign of hedgehogs when clearing garden so set up feeding station and various water sources around garden . Just checked and all food had been taken from station! Re filled bowl and hoping for more visitors. Thanks all for your advice.

@debs64 I hope there were crumbs left, that's a sure sign of hogs eating.
Mine are eating me out of house and home.😄

Out of interest, what type is the invasive grass?
  • My hogs are also eating extremely large quantities every night and you are right about the crumbs purplerallim.  Just recently we had a clean bowl and I knew that either a cat or vermin had been enjoying the hogs food. It turned out to be a cat seen later on prowling through our garden.  The hogs chew food and leave crumbs.

Not seen any hedgehogs since last August  :'(
I still put out food and have their accommodation ready just in case they return.

My food has had to stay out over night as late visiting hog, but found out that the blackbirds and robins have been clearing the leftovers in the morning.🙄😄
