@KT53 you are absolutely right in my balanced opinion.

Having moderate hearing loss and finding the real world too noisy for my taste, I don't use my hearing aids as much as I should. To my mind, most people gabble -but maybe it's just me. (Hearing. NotgabblingnaturallyIneverbgabble.)

I've just cleared a patch towards the end of my garden, excavated an existing path and added a curving diagonal path through the middle. It's about the size one of those new build gardens we get so many panicked questions about, but without the underlying rubble.

I can now totally get the frozen, deer caught in the headlights feeling. Now what do I do?

Deep breaths and wait until the huge sycamore ( I'm told it's some other kind of acer, but it looks like a sycamore to me) at the north end  is out so that I can judge the light.

Displacement activity . The sun doesn't come from the north! I already know it gets very dry .

I think the scariest thing for me is that I need to make a plan. The rest of the garden evolved .

The saddest thing I heard tonight was a woman at Weightwatchers who had been a member for 22 years - and was still 4 stone overweight. I've not sure what that says about her or the programme.  On the same topic, did you know that a Smarties Easter Egg is 28 points! More than my daily allowance.

I know I've mentioned my hatred of pointless "smoky atmospheric " scenes in dramas, but BBC1's new drama Trust Me was ruined for me as is set in a hospital and every scene is "smoky" WHY? When was the last time anyone could smoke in a hospital? and I'm sure they don't have open fires in them either.

They think it looks ‘atmospheric ‘
looks like you need to de mist your specs.  Did it have the music that sounded like crashes of thunder, and whooshing noises,   we both have a remote control and either one of us are continually turning the sound up and down.

I think it saves on expensive props. You can bung anything in a shadowy corner and I suppose the makeup can be a little less precise too. Then you can add mood music so the audience, who can't hear the mumbling actors, will know what they're supposed to be feeling whilst watching the masterpiece unfold..
