@Fire, wow, that looks great. What size is your pot and how many plants did you put.

I think it was three plants - the pot is about 30 cm across. But they are more vigorous growers that I thought.

I guess they are not widely sold in grown forms because the market doesn't favour red or yellow plants. White and pink are generally the most popular. It seems a bit nuts when RV seems such a solid performer. It's pitched as a "ground cover".  Most sellers seem to prefer Surfina varieties.

That's interesting about the colour... I'm eagerly awaiting to see if it's more of a pink-red or orange-red... some of the photos look more pinky than others...

I think it's usually a reliable dark red.

Yay! First flower... pic doesn’t do justice to the beautiful colour...

    Lovely. I'm ages behind.

I’ve grown mine from seed collected last year. I’ve sown them in February and I’ve taken lots of cuttings from the young plants as well.

What I didn’t realise last year is just how nice they smell in the evening!

    Holy crap. That's amazing! @Janie B
You clearly have no slugs in Lincolnshire. I think you have won Tidal Wave growing.
Can I ask what aspect they have? Do they get full sun?
Mine are dismal - put in too late, but maybe something good will happen in August...

They make for really nice cut flowers that last a long time in a vase.
