  • I dug mine up at the start of winter and put them into pots as I want to move them. They are still in their pots but no sign of new life as yet. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for all your answers. I'll just have to be patient. I'll just have to be patient. I'll just have to be patient. I'll just have to be patient.  ;)

In SW they are showing good growth. Fab plants, love them.
  • Cornwall.
They are showing up all over the place. I keep digging them out and throwing them away. They are so invasive here, and really hard work to get rid of. They form thick mats of fibrous roots which suffocate any other plants growing nearby.

I was working in the border today where I have one, and there's some new growth showing.
We've had no winter though- they wouldn't normally be growing here yet.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I planted about 3 Astrantias in my borders a couple of years ago in different aspects of the garden and they do not flower! I get some foliage but that is all. Any ideas what the problem is and how to solve it would be greatfully received. Thank you

Are they overcrowded - too much competition from other planting @Meomye ? I don't do anything to mine, other than the odd bit of mulch around it. Or alternatively, are you overfeeding with something that promotes foliage rather than flower?
If they were small plants they may have struggled to establish. Difficult to judge. A photo might help  :)
