Im lucky Asarum? Oh heck, does that mean I can’t bin it?
Lactuca macrophylla..syn Cicerbita macrophylla...common name common blue sowthistle. I love this plant and the fab blue flowers. Years ago we were lucky enough to acquire a small plant. I was thrilled. We lived to regret it. It suckers to form huge dense patches...it popped up in the middle of shrubs and swamped the border. Very sadly in the end we had to dig every tiny piece out and eliminate it.
So unless you have a huge wild garden you may feel you too have to dig it out. Sell it on e bay with a warning. Many people would love to grow it and have the right place for it. See link.
It’s a patch, maybe 2ft ish. Garden is full of foxgloves and poppies, so it’s not out of place. I can see from the roots it will be difficult to remove! I think I’ll dig most of it up after flowering. I can have a patch or two nearer my pond which is wild. Also have a friend with a “weed” garden, she will have some. I can try packaging some up, if anyone on the forum wants some (and has read the above warning!).
