Something white to go with Verbena Bonariensis Lollipop?
I have a few VB lollipops and would like to pair them with something white in south-facing bed, but on the east side of the house, so gets mostly morning and a bit of midday sun, but can still get pretty hot. Soil is clay, but much improved with organic stuff and grit.
I was thinking of Achillea Ptarmiga Perry’s White, for a sort of airy cottage feel, perhaps behind the VBLs or a more upright form of gaura if such a thing exists (I have ‘whirling butterflies but thats quite floppy).
Any thoughts on either of these or alternative suggestions?
Cheers.

VB come up all over my garden and last year they appeared alongside stipa gigantea and a combination of helianthium and heliposis - looked really good
The also appear amongst the Bishops Children dahlias (yellow through to red) I often grow

Wish I had thought of Eryngium earlier, rainsingirl! Having checked, my supplier has sold out of the white Miss Willmott. Could maybe get it elsewhere, but I’m tacking this on to a pending order with them to save on postage.
Pitter-patter, some nice suggestions, a veronica would be a good contrast in form and my supplier does have that lovely Salvia Trebah as well... if I do go for an A. ptarmiga I would go for the Perrys rather than the Pearl, I think, as the former is less invasive, allegedly. Quite tempted to add on a few of those salvias though.
Lots of great options, thanks!
