Was planning on growing on my Salvias and Penstemons in their pots, but after setting them out to plan where I'm going to put them, impatience has got the better of me and I've gone and planted them. Along with all the alliums and bare root Aquilegia I have grown in pots. It's exciting seeing all the plants set out and visualising how they'll look. And it confirms to me (sadly) that I *definitely* don't need to buy any more plants this year!

Thanks for the commiserations @AnniD and @Yviestevie.
Crud clearance  is mostly done, we don't have a very big garden. Thanks for the take it steady advice. I needed telling even though my other half said the same.
Decided to do some nice things like feeding and tying in clematis, no pot washing involved AnniD  :)

Know exactly how you feel Ruby.  Hubby did his Edward Scissorhands impression on the tree in the middle of our garden just after I had  finished the spring tidy up.  He made such a horrible mess I didn't speak to him for two days.
Thanks for the laugh "Edward Scissorhands" though I can understand you did not laugh at the time.

Done some weeding and hubby finished pruning the Roses.

Painted more fence panels and the garden table and chairs. Pruned Hydrangea Limelight.  Doesn't sound like much but it nearly killed me.  Taking it easy now and contemplating whether I might have the energy to edge the lawns later.

Six rows of potatoes into the soil, onion bed broken down to ready plant out sets growing away merrily in 24 cells, Runner Beans in pots, the end and middle steel posts up ready to put up the canes, and bottom lawns mowed, and sun shining.

Decided to make a sort of cold frame to use till the better weather and I can get my greenhouse. Got the chop saw out cut about 5 pieces of wood and smoke every where BANG end of chop saw. No one was hurt just shaken, need to buy a new chops saw this one's a right off  :'(
I'm going back to playing with the soil and seeds much safer.

A productive day, but by the gods im knackered! I can’t believe how much rubble I pulled out considering I dug the entire area at least a spade depth when I sowed the lawn 2 years ago!

Flinster looks like the stuff I have been getting out of my allotment over the last year let me know if you find an old mini wheel I'm missing just one  :/

Planted more Russian Sage today around for the bees, dug over and prepped more soil ready for red onions and broad beans tomorrow maybe some french beans if I have the time.
Also need to turn out the old compost heap and move that to a new bin.
