Leaving mine up for a bit GWRS.  Took it down last year and lost some verbena seedlings due to scorch.  Some people leave it up all summer as a form of shade netting.

I think l would leave it GWRS , you never know at this time of year. Hopefully your neighbour will keep an eye on the weather and open the door if it gets really tropical.

Just a couple of hours due to family lunch today but did get one lot of onion sets planted out and cloche's on to keep the pigeons from pulling them out, planted some Russian Sage plants around to attracted the bees they just love the flowers, watered the compost heap was looking a little dry on top, general pottered around as you do.

Have seen the long term forecast for us @GWRS and if it is to be believed it will remain like today for your time away, btw enjoy yourself.

This morning dug two holes to put in two halves of a plant I was given and told to split , not sure what it's called its spikey, evergreen and will have flowers might have to ask friend what it's called again.🙂 Planted red currant and blackcurrant. Watered plants in conservatory and continued to line the raised beds, stapler broke so will finish tomorrow. Moved mop headed thingy/bush as it was not in right place. Then left to go to hobbycraft and b&q shopping at 10am.

Main job today was dead-heading the Hydrangeas as the new growth is coming along nicely. I also finished clearing away old foliage from some Astilbes and other perennials. I noticed the raspberry canes are ahead and my lovely Clematis ‘Miss Bateman’, which I though I lost at the end of last season, is growing. Garden is looking much neater and full of buds and new growth.
