I state at the beginning that I think anyone shooting at anyone else is wrong.

Most religions will have something along the lines of "Thou shalt not kill"

Can someone tell me why a muslim shooting at  non muslims has a mental health issue. Someone shooting at muslims is a terrorist.

In my opinion, they are all terrorists.

What's the definition of a mental health issue?
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

If I was being stroppy, I would say that all terrorists have mental health issues. I don't think it excuses it in any way.

I thought it was the other way around?? Muslims are terrorists and people who kill them are mentally ill?? Can I just say I am just asking how the media would view and report it. I think it’s fairly obvious that anyone who kills innocent people is mentally very ill indeed!

Whether you shoot someone for being from the 'wrong' country, or don't give them a job because their skin is the 'wrong' colour or refuse to serve them a coffee because they love the 'wrong' sort of person. It's all wrong - the lesser leads to the greater, if not in the same person, then in the wider society.

Religion is an excuse not a reason and is basically the same as one football team's supporters 'hating' another team's supporters over the colour of scarf they wear. It's all tribal - some people feel the need to belong to a tribe and to hate someone from another tribe. I have no idea why. They just crave violence  :(

Perhaps some people are just “ evil “

Maybe they are just terrified and we have to ask ourselves why?

I think that social media has a lot to a answer for in these situations. If a right wing extremist or a racist or a pervert can connect with like-minded people in the internet, to their mind, it normalises their behaviour. In a similar way, people with body dysmorphia or people who self-harm become part of a support group .

I also think the modern video games have a lot to answer for. From the stll photos l have seen in the paper this morning, the impression given was that similar to Call of Duty (l think that's what it's called), where the player goes around with the gun like that. While l am in no way condoning the people who were making encouraging comments, l think they have become so "anesthetised" (sp.) by these games, they can't differentiate between that and reality any more.
