I gave my daughter my old Fiesta which is now over 21 years old which passed it's MOT - yet again! last month - much to the mechanic's amazement.  She's really pleased and so am I. It's got nearly 140,000 miles on the clock and we're hoping to get to 150,000 before it kicks the bucket. It has been such a super little car and so reliable with no really big servicing or breakdown bills.

Never mind the wheels!  Strictly is back.  Lots of fun to come.

A friend bought his  "company car" when it was 3 years old and the lease was up: M Reg Volvo estate.
It's still going strong, last time I was in it was about 3 years ago and it had 230,000 miles on the clock and has never had a major fault,  tyres and one exhaust change,

Funnily I put "strictly" on the curmudgeonly thread.

@Hostafan1 That's why you have to record it to get past the cr*p and watch the dancing which can be glorious.

Congrats to you and hubby on future addition to the family.

I wish it was a proper competition with young amateur dancers looking to make a career in dancing, not some Z list has beens seeking publicity to resurrect their careers.

They tried that format a few years ago and OH and I really enjoyed it but there was no repeat.   Adèle's Rolling in the Deep was the theme tune for the prog so that dates it.   Earlier this year there was another format looking for dancing talent with Oti as a main presenter.  It was dreadful.

I admire Oti as a dancer, incredible.
I think her agent has been putting her up for various things including Celebrity Masterchef. She annoyed me with her huffing, puffing, general shrieking and looks to camera.
Someone on another forum thought she was in danger of getting too big for her boots, l hope not.
She's always been a bubbly personality,  but Oti is going OTT (sorry).
I think that should have been on the curmudgeonly thread !
I do enjoy Strictly,  l find the secret is to record it !

Now the deadline is past, isn't it nice to be able to turn on the television, open a newspaper and answer your phone, safe in the knowledge that you won't be told to claim a PPI refund?
