    Morning all.
Rubbish night here as well. The house was freezing , despite getting up and topping up the wood burner.
I moved a load of woodchip yesterday and aching this morning. I'd hoped to get a lot more moved to day, but we'll see how it goes. The cold certainly isn't helping.

Dove - I did good old-fashioned flapjacks for patchwork yesterday.  They loved the flavour and the healthy oats but a few squeals at the amount of butter and sugar.   BBC Good Food has some healthier modern versions with apples and bananas  and less butter and sugar if that helps at all.    Other than that, do you eat avocado?  very good for lowering naughty cholesterol levels.

    We have heating!!!!! Hurrah!!!
    Devon.
  • Obbelix ... it seems the problem with anything that actively lowers cholesterol is that they all do it in the same way... they bind the cholesterol to them during their transit and the levothyroxine binds to them as well 🙄

"aching this morning" has deteriorated into " hobbling in agony whilst using a walking stick"

I ache a lot too this morning, too much bending up and down yesterday picking up leaves for my hedge project. My sacro-ilieac ? joints (hip to spine joints)get very inflamed with overuse and must pinch nerves somewhere. So a day of rest for me.
On a similar note, can somebody tell me how to get in touch with the GW team please? I'm wondering whether they could rejig the layout a bit to put the Forum home button on the right hand side. I'm right handed so having to keep moving my dodgy right shoulder to stab the left hand side button all the time really aggravates it.

Not nice if they stop the thyroxine working and cause pain tho ☹️
The statin  pills are likely do the same 🙄

Statins will drop cholesterol levels  if you have a familial tendency, but seem to cause muscle ache in about 10% of cases. They do not work by binding dietary consumption, they work on the liver so that it makes less  cholesterol.  Some pain can be stopped by taking a daily dose of Co Q 10. Statins also lower Co Q 10 in the body. OH had to stop statins, he couldn't tolerate them even with Co Q 10.
  • Yes it’s the familial tendency that’s causing the high levels apparently ... thanks @fidgetbones ... I’ve been trying to get that sort of info to decide whether it’s worth trying statins ... I’ve a discussion with my GP scheduled in a few months ...
