Beautiful plants and planting schemes, such a lovely thread to browse.
I love your fiery Achillea and Kniphofia combo too, @Big Blue Sky. I have Achillea Safran (similar colour to Walther Funke) with yellow Kniphofia Wrexham Buttercup but wanted to add an orange kniphofia, so will definitely look out for Timothy...
Heleniums looking good at the moment... Waltraut (foreground, more orange colouring this year) and Moerheim Beauty in the distance, under Agastache Black Adder.
This is meant to be Dahlia Noordwijks Glorie but doesn’t quite match the packet:
Rose Lady Emma Hamilton, regained a little colour having been washed out by heat and bashed by rain earlier in the year:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
This is my favourite part of the year in the garden - I like plants growing, green, flowering and a little bit wild.
Roses are finally looking good.
This part of the garden was only concrete, one year ago when we bought the house. I use it to get a place for some vegetables and fruit (I haven't changed the rest of the garden too much).
Its looking grand @edhelka which varirty of lupin are you growing in the background ? Gladiator ? looks like you've got to many strawberries to handle there you'll have to share them out my way specifically
I like the kniphofia and achillea combo to @Big Blue Sky
Your heleniums are looking well @Nollie how big that agastache ? it looks like a giant . My helenium MB is always trying to bully my A-black Adder
@Perki Thank you Yes, the orange+yellow lupin is Gladiator. My husband says there is no such thing as too many strawberries Luckily, the birds haven't found them yet but we are sharing them with woodlice.
@Nollie I like your Lady Emma. You shouldn't give up on roses, it looks happy and healthy.
@jaffacakes, that’s a cool, funky dahlia in your first pic.
Thanks @Perki, I’m pleased the Waltraut is finally showing a bit of orange colouring, it was clear bright yellow last year. The Agastache BA is 1.8m/nearly 6ft and is the bully in my case.
@edhelka, your garden is looking great, love your veg beds too. I am not that keen on the colour of Lady Em but she is certainly fighting back and is the best of my Austin roses, plus that west-facing bed is more shaded so that helps. All the ‘reds’ in the south-facing hot border are going tho, they have declined into miserable specimens.

There are some amazing plants in our gardens and we like to share them, some I would like to try growing here and others I know just don't do well in this garden, and then there are those that do not attract wildlife which I try avoid. I don't know if the bees like this flower but something definitely finds the leaves tasty. This scrumptious gladioli is called Black Star. Gladioli have a habit of performing badly in subsequent years, so I am enjoying it now whilst it lasts.
