Brrrr @AnniD . We've been getting -4 or so at nights, and reaching the heady heights of 0c in the daytime recently.

Minus 6.5°C in the greenhouse last night. Can't recall it ever going that low before.

This morning whilst out in the car I had to open my window to see properly when pulling out of the supermarket space. When I hit the button to close the window again it wouldn't budge. Ended up at the Toyota garage where they told me the 'regulator' had broken in the frozen conditions and I now have a bill of £530 to face when I take it in next week. The drive home 6 miles to our village was piggin' freezing. Luckily I can put it in the garage and we have another car to use.

-5.6° when I got up,  coldest through night was -6.5°
I was on bird duty and it was difficult walking up from one of the feeding stations in the snowy frosty frozen grass.

  • -7 degrees C. This is the lowest since living here in Wiltshire. We had -8 in Maidenhead in 2009.
I have to fill the bird bath 3x a day with boiling water. Looks like all surrounding birds wait until the water cools down and have then a bath. My street cat gets twice a day a hot water bottle in his house.
    Monday 13 degrees. Thanks goodness.

    I my garden.

I managed to break a hole in the pond this afternoon, the ice was about 1,5” - 2” deep.

-6.8 at 8.30 am but got up to 4.4c after lunch before rapidly getting below freezing again at 4 pm.

I'm very fed up with it.

Good morning all clear sky and light winds temp -4c to 0c
    Precipitation 6%
    Sunrise 8.12
    Sunset 15.55

I'm not looking forward to when it rains it could fall on frozen paths and be slippy to walk on.

  • 3°C but next will be -1 according to weather forcast
  • Cornwall.
Warmer today. It began raining during the night and is still peeing down. The surface ice and snow are gone but the ground underneath is still very hard.
