Good morning , hope you all are safe
Glorious sunny day , a bit of cloud after yesterday’s rain ☔️ and last nights wind 💨

Windy last night but not too bad - the only casualties were 3 daffodils broken off which are now in a vase on the kitchen windowsill.  It's been sunny this morning but it's clouded over now.  Hope we get more rain - the ground is still quite dry.

Just heard on the news that a train hit a downed tree near Heckington, Lincolnshire, so the wind must have been bad. No one hurt.

Dry bright but cool start, had to go into town, not long after I got back went very dark & tipped down with rain just stopped again but not gardening today I fear.

  • Really heavy rain last night - it cut out the t.v. reception for a short time too. Breezy today and mostly cloudy interspersed with sunshine, not unpleasant though.

Not too bad this morning but only just about 10.5 deg. Wind had dropped, wasn't anything unusual. Hedge men came and were able to cut a fairly long hedge during the morning so that was good. Clouded over, rained and wind has picked up again this afternoon though.

Proper March 'four seasons in one day' weather here today. We've had sun and bright blue skies and now it's raining ice, not hail but fine ice. Never say the British weather is boring.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Yesterday was quite nice, better than forecast. Today was a real mixture, had everything apart from hail and snow! The rain and wind saw me coming when I went out to garden and the sun came out when I went in to do housework.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
