hot hot hot here. I think I can manage doing some mowing, maybe some weeding later in the afternoon/evening when it cools down a bit.
  • Hot here too, sunny and calm, not a ripple on the sea and not a quiver in the trees.

Started out hot and close here today. Just finished lunch and had to run outside to get the newly planted baskets and new potted flowers under cover, it started to pour down.

Hope we get plenty more, the forecast has been all over the place, one minute we will get rain, then not, it's here now and the ground needs it, plenty of it.

We had rain forecast for this afternoon but we didn't get any. Not even a tiny spit :|. The ground is really dry for the time of year - doesn't bode well for the rest of the growing season.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
