    A balmy -1F (-18.3C) this morning.  Looks like it will be a sunny day, but temperatures only predicted to rise to about 16F (-8C).

    Clear sky and a gentle breeze from the north north east temp 1c

    Triple C; clear, calm, and cold.  2F warming to 26F later in the day.  Snow showers on and off later.  We should get above freezing by Tuesday.

    “2F warming to 26F” is not something I’ve ever had to contend with 🥶 @CrankyYankee! 

    My morning dash to the car when it’s 2 CELSIUS is enough of a chill for me! 
    My garden and I live in South Wales.

    @AuntyRach it's not so bad compared to other parts of the US!  It's amazing, though - my relatives live about 4 hours south of me and right now they have green lawns, zero snow, and their temperatures don't get nearly as cold.  Meanwhile, there's a foot of snow still on the ground up here. :/  At least the snow keeps the ticks down.  ;)

    A few showers this morning and over the weekend, but nothing of significance collected in the rain gauge and nothing like enough to wet the soil.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    Okay, so it didn't rain for long. Perhaps I was too hopeful.
    But something is better than nothing, and it softened the ground enough to get weeding.
