Although they are an early flowering Russian variety, they've never been this early before, I'm really pleased. Photo is on my desktop so will post that later.

Ours are out too, and daffodil leaves well up.

Some, but not all snowdrops are in bud here, daffs still only about 2” tall if that. Usually start of February here, well into March and April for daffs. Then I’m cursing them because I want to plant out and the greenery is taking its time to die off!

I enclose a pic of a small clump of snowdrops just up and coming into flower, to go with the first notification.
  • I have noticed some of mine are out and the odd one or two about to flower. I am not sure if this is a good or bad sign on the weather front! :*

Nature hasn't known what to do with the weather as it is this year, plants flowering when they should be over and bulbs coming sooner than normal.

  • @Lizzie27,..lovely to see and those Russian varieties are quite tall,..yes these days one could write a new book on when blooms are expected,..the old guidelines are obselete.

@cornelly,..congrats on yours as well arriving early.

In a Belfast sink in the garden a lovely deep red Cyclamen been flowering most of the year, others in the ground in the top plot leaves well advanced, and a few daisies in also in the top plot, just wish the weather would change to get out and appreciate the garden, lawns are needing mowing, and a piece of the veg plot needs digging.
