No plastic surgery for me thanks.   Ordinary budget moisturiser for me and I can't remember how old my mobile phone is but it works for emergencies - when I remember to charge it.  It is not as smart as I am.

We seem to have gone almost full cicrcle on this thread, considering Picidae's title -
moisture retention gel to moisturising 'gel'.   :D

My wrinkles are extremely well moisturised, in case anyone's wondering...

My thoughts too, Fairygirl. I don’t have a dog in this fight!

It’s all the same stuff isn’t it, little plastic balls, hydrates your face and your plants.

Definitely not smoking and keeping hydrated is the secret,   Lots of fruit, no stodge pasta and potatoes,  I do use moisturiser every day, and always have, I’m quite pleased that I have kept my figure and good skin despite being 102😀
You don't look a day over 101. xx
Thank you dear, I love you too. Still old enough to be your mum though, so hold on to your seat when I next come up to visit you 😊

  • Re wrinkles - I'm sure genetics has a large part to play, and there's not a lot you can do about that.  But sun exposure is also to blame for wrinkles - having a natural parting exposing a triangle of forehead, and thick hair covering the rest, I can vouch for this.  Wrinkle-free one side, wrinkles on the exposed bit.  And what's wrong with wrinkles anyway?  We all get old, if we're lucky, and hopefully we can show that we've smiled more than frowned.   :)

And re mycorrhizal fungi.  When I was a horticultural student we visited a tree nursery.  They had a lot of trouble growing Scots pine seedlings in the nursery until they started using a particular mycorrhyzal fungus, found naturally in pine woodlands.  So perhaps specific fungi are useful in specific situations - but maybe not a general mixture of mycorrhyzal fungi whatever you're planting...

Lyn - the microscopic plastic balls are in face cleansers, toothpaste, exfoliating scrubs, shower gels and anti-aging creams.  I can't imagine why they're needed but they're everywhere.......  and they end up in the food chain, water supply and even fertilisers.

Now who was it who was going to try growing loofahs?

Think the products with plastic scrubby bits have been banned here now Obelixx.
They were for scouring away all your dodgy bits.
I'd need a helluva big bottle...

I think the ban is EU wide FG but I expect there's plenty of stuff stll got it in.  Hope the ban includes imports.

Good luck Lyn.   Where did you get the seeds?
