So Blythe Spirit lives up to its name, it is lovely, a really nice yellow.
Salvia Rhythm and Blues, I've not seen it in the flesh. I think it is a blue (doh giveaway in name ) rather than some of the purple looking photo I have seen.

The trouble is the colour rendering and variations online mean it is hard to compare.
I can only say Amistad is extremely dramatically deepest dark purple.

@AndyDean I love your faded hydrangea too, though the little viola, pansy? is a cracker so soft.
@Nollie what temperatures do you have there, sounds like everything is going mad :D

@Rubytoo I’m glad, lovely isn’t it? I was so pleased with those violets, found two trays of I think 20 mixed plugs knocked down at the garden centre to about £1.80 each. They’ve provided so much colour as it’s getting colder and darker, especially in some pits by the front door. And that’s an especially nice one!
  • thanks for sharing, lovely to see some colour, not much about up here on the high hills of the pennines.

@Rubytoo we have had our first frost, but plentiful rain refreshed everything and turned the weather milder again, not sure of the temps to be honest, I haven’t checked but it looks sunny out there today!

    love those colourful dahlias @AndyDean

I don't grow lots of 'flowery' plants anyway,  but I always have colour for this time of year in the form of foliage, seedheads and berries. Must go out and take some current photos today.
The hellbore nigers are all flowering away, and the dianthus have been superb this year, and are still in flower. Oak leaf hydrangeas are well over, but the foliage is still there and one is sporting it's beautiful deep crimson colouring.
Enjoying seeing all the lovely pix here in the meantime though.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
