@Marlorena  You are so lucky to have such beautiful plants at this time of year. I only have a few still flowering but nothing in comparison to yours. You obviously give them great care and attention.  :)

Thanks so much, glad you liked them... and yes stay in the warm... I'm out there in all weathers I'm afraid, pouring with rain I'll be planting roses... Christmas Day, yes out there too... I get one of those readymeal xmas dinners, just shove it in the oven... I really can't be a*sed with anything else...

I might take January off..  keep well...

We recently tried the Heston Blumenthal versions from Ocado... I didn't like them too much but my husband loves them...  more of a tart than a pie I would say...

Is Blythe Spirit really ever blooming? Or just your turn of phrase?
Pennisetums look nice, I had the rubrum which is beautiful, I knew they were not hardy at least not that one, and tried to overwinter it sheltered inside, alas, lost it.
    Our contribution.
    Back of Clematis Lansdowne Gem

    Fuchsia Hawkshead

    Clematis cirrhosa balearica

Salvia Amistad , sorry the flash makes it look pale.

    Lonicera purpurascens? Spring shrub honeysuckle

    Is using winter flowers cheating?

    @Rubytoo
..no, not cheating at all,  very welcome at this time of year...

'Blythe Spirit' rose started flowering on May 27 and hasn't stopped since, including all through the heat this summer...

Great selection of plants Ruby... I like them all and difficult to choose a favourite from your photos.. I have to get that Salvia, although I have 'Rhythm n Blues' on order which is similar....

I pruned back all my roses thinking they had finished, but quite a few are budding again. After 10 days of of incessant rain, lots of perennials are hanging on or now having another go -  Achillea Tango, Salvias Greggi, Caradonna and Black and Blue, Echinaceas Purpurea and Orange Passion, Geranium Rozanne, Helenium, Nepeta, Gaura... nowhere near as fulsome as in summer, just a gentle splash of colour here and there, but lovely to see.

Anenome Pulsillata has thrown up the odd early flower and my spring crocuses have come and gone!

Absolutely Fabulous is a great colour, and I’m glad I ordered a Wild Rover, Marlorena
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.

Always nice to see what other people are growing! I need to get some grasses and roses...

    Lots still going strong here

And I’m loving my faded hydrangea, although this photo doesn’t really do it justice, it really does look lovely by the back door
