Hurrah! - electric back on -they are just filling in a huge hole in the road and then all will be well. The house has warmed up quite quickly. I have been out on a two hour driving lesson this afternoon so kept warm in the car.
Shame about the candle Pansy never mind. It's been a cool and damp day one. Went to sm but didn't feel up to shopping, busy, came home and tidied up after Alfie and Ed. Thinking of getting some skincare from sm in future to cut back and the cats like the biscuits from sm as I've been trialling them and they really love them. They've been on the bed this afternoon and in the cat tree hammocks which they love. I have to bribe them with Dreamies to get them to move .
Pansy - I had an elderly (but still sprightly) ginger cat that had hyperthyroidism. The vet didn't want to operate, so we went down the pill route. I got the pills off the internet Pet Drug site (needing a prescription before issue) as they were mega cheaper. The pills were not a problem to give the cat as they were teeny weeny. The cat lived to well into his 21st year.
Pansy - I cooked chicken every day especially for administering the pills as he was like your puss. I cut a tiny slit in a piece of chicken making sure the chicken was warm so it gave off a chicken odour then got him to sit and wait so he was eager to eat it. If he did spit it out I didn't make an issue out of it, just kept the pill to one side and tried in half an hour or so.
Pansy - I've had 2 cats (at different times) who were real beggars for thwarting attempts to give them tablets. For the last couple of years of their lives they both had to go onto daily medication - the worse culprit was on tabs twice a day. In both cases I thought it would be a real nightmare but, to be honest, we all just got used to the routine.
I gave them the medication just before breakfast / dinner so they came to learn that a swallowed tablet meant they'd be given food. It was a bit of a tussle for the first few days with both of them - but they did accept it in the end.
Failing that - if it's a tiny tablet you could crush it and mix it with a little soft butter. Smear it on a front paw and he'll lick it off 'cos cats like to be clean. Bit messy though...
Been busy seasonal shopping today. Keep buying stuff for his lordship and myself though - oops🤭
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
See that you got to Leeds finally Ruby and what a lovely day you seem to have had apart from being mown down. Are you absolutely certain that wasn't M-U in Boudica mode despite her protestations of innocence.
Love the red squirrel picture - thanks PF. I buy loads of stamps at that festive time and some have lasted until now. I am still using them. Ocado delivery time - you have got to be kidding! I have cut holes in cat treats and poked pills inside - It works sometimes!
F'edge - glad to hear that you are all lit up again. You little petrol head you!
M-U - glad to here that you have been resting and beating the virus
SGL - hope the hospital visit went smoothly.
Bestie and I had a nice quiet day. Decided that the world is too messed up for us to sort out. My leaves are completed now and all loose ends woven in. Bestie manged to get the first half of her wreath completed too. I'll bet we looked like two Madame Defarges in her living room. No missing heads though.

That was good going F'ege.
(can't get the bold to disappear)
Pansy, a delivery at that time of night!!! It has to be during the day for me so that I can traipse up and down to the basement freezer.
Wonder if Runny and others are out doing C***s shopping?
