    Afternoon🙂

Been to SM - traffic was pretty awful because the BIG Christmas Market is on (it's an international affair with coaches from all over the country and the near continent). Glad I went a bit earlier before things had really kicked off - it will be dreadful at rush hour this evening.

SM car park (in the centre of town), however, was only about half full and the store itself was eerily quiet. Most locals avoid town like the plague for the 5 days the market is on - but I needed to collect a JL parcel and I needed some veg and gin 😉so needs must.

Throat is still a bit scratchy but otherwise I'm ok. Must take care of myself though😉🤭 - so maybe an afternoon in front of the fire with a hot toddy could be justified. Will actually be cooking a big chicken tagine and a slow cooked beef casserole - a woman's work....

@pansyface - cats!!! A suggestion for the tinned stuff (if you can face it) is to slightly warm it. Smells disgusting to us but (apparently) makes it more appetising for cats.

Bestie's sister swanned off at 10PM last night and left her with her dog.

Have just been walking a very energetic, untrained dog. Finally home - got back to bestie's as sister arrived back with a "There's my dog!".

    The air was rather blue.

Enjoy your canasta LB you'll need your site.  Alfie and Ed snuggling up in this cold spell.  Will leave the heating on tonight rather chilly it will keep them cosy.  Wrapped in my Cape for most of the day to keep warm and had some toast for lunch.  Forest it's good you found your bus pass.  Hazel it won't be long now with you packing, keep cosy.  MU hoping your improving from the cold and drinking plenty.  Pansy I hope the patient begins to show more interest in the new food soon after your endeavours.

Hazel.  Perhaps you'll be more successful in your new house with indoor plants.  That was very kind of your neighbour.

Gosh I'm glad to be back from Canasta! It is raw and cold outside with the threat of fog I think. Nice to be inside all toasty.
New neighbours are doing jobs in the house Hazel and they are not completely moved in yet. I think that the bathroom is finished as all the old stuff appeared on the drive a bit at a time. How very kind of your neighbour.
Don't worry Rebecca I knew what you meant!
You meet loads of nice people when you are a dog walker Chey.

Get warm and settled down for the night LB and Ruby.
Hazel, my neighbours are very nice.  He was wrapped up the other day and down on his knees weeding the gravel and gathering leaves so well up in my opinion. It was far too cold for me to think about working outside.

I used to love going for long walks with our Westie and chatting to other dog walkers.
