  • I hear that some charitable ...patriots, who paid the Tories £500.000 each just before the last election, have been now awarded glittering HONOURS in recognition of their...philanthropy.

Honour: obviously another word that has changed in meaning.

Like most gardeners, I'm delighted with today's rain; however, the weather forecast promises more rain till and including Saturday.  I need to start praying to the sunshine gods as my niece (Often referred to as "Carrot") is getting married then.

I'll join you in your prayers, Zoe.  On Saturday I'm going to a friend's birthday celebration but I won't if it's still raining, as we'll not be able to stay in the garden.

Lovely baby.  I assume she has ginger hair, thus "Carrot"?  Is that (almost) you holding her?

    Yes, almost!

What a serious Carrot she was, Zoe!

Rain or not, I'm sure you, and Helen, will enjoy every minute of those very special celebrations.

Carot is giving you, Zoe, that look that says, "Who are you?  You're NOT my mummy!"  D
I love old photos, especially of children.

    Enjoy the wedding!

So do I.  Here's a very special one of my Greek grandparents with their first and second born children.

I absolutely love it, but I think they all forgot to say, "CHEESE!"

    Helen and Zoe, enjoy Saturday!
