Delighted to know you're on the mend, Helen.  Keep it up!

My dog-walking friend is slightly better too, which is very encouraging.  She believes that the difficulties of living with her mentally sick son hinder the rate of her recovery; but, I can see that she's improving.  Her daughter is coming for the weekend and she can't wait.

So far, I think I have managed to avoid catching anything.  It pleases me immensely, not only because real flu is thoroughly debilitating but also bacause the daily walks of her dog and mine depend on me; her son refuses to lend a hand. There are some RSPCA dog walking volunteers, though, who do an amazing job, and that's lovely to know.

I look forward to her full recovery and to her pleasant company.

So pleased to read that you're much better, Helen.  Equally pleased that your friend is improving and you yourself, Sam, thus far, have escaped scot-free!

@Helen P3, How is our patient today?  OH still at your beck and call?? ;)

    Cheeky!
Feeling not so good today and i'm getting rather tired of it all.  As soon as the power of the analgesics diminishes, the temperature begins to rise and so does the headache.  I know it will go but I wish it would hurry up a bit!  OH thinks I'm impatient.  The idea!!

It's natural, I think, to feel as you do but impatience doesn't really help.  You need some cheering up.  I hope this little card does the trick, Helen. X

I slept for hours during the day but I now am fully awake!
Temperature normal today(thank goodnes!) though the cough still very much present.  However, it's rather promising, I think. :)

Feeling frozen this morning.  22C in the house but my body can't read the thermometer.  OH said, "It's baking in here and even outside it's quite civilized today."

2C ain't civilized for me. Civilized is gardening weather: 17-25C .  Then I'm happy.

Helen. I think your "lurgy" is spreading through the... screen.  Please hurry up and get better!  <3

Zoe, I think everybody I know is, at the moment, nursing a heavy cold or flu-proper.  Unfortunately, my "lurgy" too started, last Saturday night, with my inability to get warm.  It then became worse but it's much better now.  Yours might be one of those miseries that visit us just for 24 to 36 hours, much "better" than flu proper.  Look after yourself; it will pass.  <3
