No - I found the postage to be quite reasonable for my lengths that I ordered from the Metal Store. For 10 x 6m lengths cut into 2m or 1.5m the total order incl postage worked out at £2 a support. Very reasonable as I could not cut them to length myself.

I must admit that so far I've bought my plant supports ready-made. There are usually sellers doing special prices at the Harrogate flower shows, Tatton Park show etc which work out very reasonable, and I can get the green coated ones (I don't really like the rusted look).

I've recently paid £4.80 for a ready made tall half hoop which I thought was reasonable from an independent nursery near Wells - much easier for me than making my own.
