    @Lizzie27, I tend to agree with you, but the OP's photo being out of focus does not help making that plant look nice. ;)

    The leaf shape and feel seems to be that of a heuchera.  It just has a really funny trunk.

    Just logged in,..as everyone has said the image is a Heuchera,..delighted you managed to get the image in,..yes stick it in a pot and new growth will appear fairly soon.

    Yes you can chop your very long stemmed heucheras into pieces and replant a bit deeper. I have propagated lots of them by just taking cuttings. (There comes a point where one can have a few too many of them.) 
    Heuchera "Blackberry pie" anyone?
