Do you remember,as a child, how depressing it was to see the back to school stuff in the shops at the end of August. Now they're in the shops in July. Still, I suppose that's less depressing if you see them all through the summer holidays.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Ours too Hosta! Ours was on this morning. Nothing like a nice hot radiator to perch your bum.
i think summer is over when you have to stop picking rhubarb, the runner beans that are left you can’t be bothered to pick and the last two tomatoes in the GH are of insignificant size so you leave them.
Of course it could be something to do with the calendar.

Me too @Dovefromabove, it's also pouring with rain so Steampunk outing is called off, maybe tomorrow when it's parade day.

Purlerallim, the weather is nice for Steampunk tomorrow though! I shall be in St Mary Magdalene Church, opposite the Information place with the WI doing tea and cake...so you know where to go if fancy homebaking!

I put the heating on this morning, and all the outdoor seat cushions away in the attic. It's piddling down here.
