Recommend some very warm slippers.

I always have very cold feet in winter. I am ready for some new slippers, so now is a good time to get advice on a good warm pair of slippers. What type would you recommend? :)

    The more expensive ones with sheepskin are warm, and I always find my ankles feel the chill, so bootee ones are warmer, but in no way 'cool'!
    I have some ski socks that I keep for really cold days and always wear long socks, even in a normal summer. Did wear short ones for a while this year, and even bare my feet once or twice, but don't like the feel of gritty, dirty feet.

    Look on one of the walking/climbing specialist sites. There are slippers for wearing when bivvying overnight in all weathers.  
    Rab, North Face, Mammut, Berghaus etc all do them. Try online shops like Webtogs and The Climber's Shop as well. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I also have some Magic Felt, which are wonderful.
    If you have very cold feet, I would go for Scandinavian or Austrian felt ankle boots.

    I use sheepskin insoles, proper skin not the wool stuck to latex ones. Highly recommended for warmth and comfort. Add a pair of Heat Holder socks and furry bootee slippers and you won't get any warmer without actually heating them.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    I like short sheepskin Ugg boots as slippers in Winter. Not really good for outside, but OK for a trip to the garage or bins.

    Others have already recommended all kind of warm slippers so I will recommend something completely different. When we bought our (oldish) house about 20 years ago and had it completely renovated and extended, we put an electric floor heating system downstairs and find it extremely comfortable in the cold season. Little children can play directly on the floor, we can walk in socks, etc. Obviously not a cheap alternative for warm slippers, but certainly something to consider when building or renovating a house.

    I used to have a pair of Scooby Doo slippers and they were ACE.

    Warmest feet ever.

    The sheepskin bootee slippers from Celtic & Co. Expensive but you can wear them when you nip out to the garden, they're comfortable, toasty warm without making your feet sweat and they last for ages. I've had three pairs now and each lasted about three to four years - and that was with wearing them outside loads!

    When you took them off did it turn out your feet were old Mr Wickles all along?

    'If it hadn't a' bin for those pesky kids....' 
    That made me laugh out loud w.edges - and I had a mouthful of tea at the time. It could have gone very badly.  :D
