Glos - dark, very wet and quite a bit colder. At least the wind has gone. I recorded The Wicked Lady yesterday, think it's perfect weather to watch that. Always remember my dad saying he went to the pictures to see it when he was still at school, he fell in love with Margaret Lockwood ! Back on topic, forecast for next week is dry with some sunshine.

Disappointing.  We were supposed to be cool and very wet but the remains of the hurricane are passing harmlessly out to sea and we are completely dry, warm, sunny and just a bit breezy.   Lovely day in all but would prefer it to be wet for once.

  • Same as you @herbaceous, can only describe yesterday as bizarre so warm and mild even in the stiff breeze. Very wet start today & after a brief lull it's chucking it down again. Must not complain though compared to other parts of the country we have got away lightly again.

Rain , rain and more rain but garden actually needed it
    Hopefully will improve next week😉
  • Damp, dull and gloomy here - we have been for a walk around the garden - straightened a few clumps of Michaelmas Daisy and Castor Oil plants and generally feeling cooler today.

Drier than expected today. Managed an hour in garden.
I was looking at U.K. average temperatures by month and October is actually very similar to May. October generally has the highest rainfall.

Morning all light rain and gentle breeze temp 8 to 11c
    Sunrise was 7.32
    Sunset 18.14
  • Much needed rain during the night again, grey and dry now with a forecast of showers.

A cooler night and currently 11.8°C with a 6kn NNE breeze.

Allotment today treating planks for garden edges luckily I made room in poly so can do it in the dry.

Raining heavily again here, rather disappointed. I know the garden needs it but I want to do some tidying up - there's leaves everywhere.
