Just been queueing at the roundabout on the way to the SM. "gilets jaunes" protesters still out in force here. Lorry drivers getting very angry as they are kept waiting to get off the motorway and continue their journey into Spain. Plenty of pallets and tyres piled up for blocading.
And most people sit there with their engines idling so the pollution must be horrendous. I have worked out an alternative, rural route to get to dance class tomorrow night, just in case, as we would otherwise go past the same roundabout - or not, if they're still at it.
I hope you got everything you need for a while, just in case.
On a completely different subject, I have spent much of the last 18 hours organising and moving data to external drives and then deleting 200gigas of music, photos, videos and documents from this new PC - Possum cast off, small but supposed to be clever.
It is still behaving as tho it belongs to the mollusc family. Humph!

We usually go to the SM by a more rural route Obelixx but as we had to go to the bank in town we took the main road route out to the SM. Not surprisingly the SM was quite empty. I think people are getting fed up with all of it.
It's the US version of UK Boxing Day sales so why has it been all over the radio ads, internets and the rest for a week here in rural France and, no doubt, all over the UK too cos the price cons have been mentioned on TV.

Just another American import and excuse to rip off customers who believe they are getting the bargain of the century. A report on BBC said that over 90% of items checked could be purchased at a lower price at some point either before or after the sale.
I don't know if it still happens, but a couple of years ago there were reports of shops putting items up to the recommended retail price for 28 days at a period of slow sales, in order to give inflated figures for the reductions at sale time.
Sainsbury's does that with some items that I buy regularly. They inflate the price so that they can make out that they're on offer about once a month. I usually bulk but when they're 'on offer' but it's really irritating to have to wait a couple of weeks if I run out.
