Identify purple poop found in garden

  • Blackberries or elderberries  will create lovely purple poo. Local blackbirds deliver hefty purple splats at this time of year.
    I agree large purple turd likely  to be fox as they are omnivorous foragers and will eat anything. 
  • We've got the same in our garden. Don't know what it is

    Yes, it looks like blackberry-eating fox. But it should absolutely stink if it is fox. The nearest thing to it is ammonia.

    Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.
