Identify purple poop found in garden

Hi,

I've found this poop in my garden today and not sure what it is. Was worried at first our dog was very unwell.

We live in Stockport and our back garden backs onto a field. There are a lot of foxes in the area but it doesn't look particularly fox like.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Not a typical fox poo ... but as Buttercupdays says ... he's been making a piggy of himself with the blackberries ... he'll have the collywobbles if he carries on like that.  :/

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

A fox that’s been entirely dependent on berries/fruit like Dove says

Is the long firm bit a tape worm that it has now got rid off

Unlikely.  Tapeworms have segmented bodies, new segments grow behind the head and the old ones, full of eggs, drop off one by one and are passed in faeces.  A whole tapeworm would only be passed if the host has been treated with worming medicine.

Does it smell awful? You don't need to get close!
If it does, it's fox poo.

Tapeworms were the one thing that genuinely terrified me at school biology lessons
