My compost heap is bone-dry
My compost heap is like a pile of straw, hay and twigs.
Would it be worth putting the lot through the shredder before wetting it?
Or should I just leave it until the weather 'improves'?
Although it faces south and gets plenty of sun, it's under a large tree so hasn't benefited from what little rain we've had.

Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
Unfortunately,my husband refuses to recycle his beer in an appropriately eco-friendly manner and I'd probably literally kick the bucket if it was in the loo.
I'm thinking that a pissoir could be erected around the heap rather than the toilet seat idea.
