My main problem at the moment is telling the spent buds from the immature ones
I can only tell if there's a shrivelled petal hanging off!
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Debs you might as well give it a go. It's raining tonight so you will be able to spare a glass of water ;)

Hi, its my first time growing rigida do you deadhead down to the next leaf joint when the flowers have done or leave the seedheads on ( which I find very attractive ). And do they self seed easily.
  • So far I haven't looked to see if they need deadheading, but I never used to do anything with my Verbena Bonariensis, just let them seed. The Rigida look as though they will be ok for cut flowers now the sweet peas are going over a bit now.
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
