I have Princess Kate . When I bought it, I said to the nurseryman " I'm buying this plant despite the name, not because of it. I just hope she's as pretty as her mother in law" . I can't say I love it, what I thought would be white is a bit wishy washy.
As for Clematis P. Meghan, a pretty flower as for the lady, she seems to have moved from one pretty hideous , dysfunctional family into another.
    I wish her luck .
    Devon.
  • I very much like the plant, looks like a Viorna group with maybe a bit of fusca in there, it should flower over here, July to September-ish, possibly earlier.

Apparently there's one for little Louis, too! In the article, though, it is just called Clematis Meghan (without the Princess bit).

I have clematis princess diana, and it's lovely!

If it's as healthy and pretty as "Princess Diana", l would probably give it a try. I don't grow many clematis, but that one is my favourite .
  • It's pretty, but I wouldn't pay a lot to have it in my garden,my Montana from Lidls for 1.99 has bloomed very well all summer,I doubt if the Meghan would!

I love baby Louie, so I'd get that one.  :)

Peter and Zara Phillips are not ‘technically’ a prince and princess because they are children of the monarch’s daughter, not of her son.  Archaic maybe but that’s the way it works. The Queen offered to make them prince and princess when they were born. Princess Anne turned down the offer. Thus they are not prince/princess. That’s the way it is 😊

I'm not overly keen on that shape of clematis Richard, but that looks quite nice. Love the colour. What sort of flowering period does it have, and height etc?

I have zero interest in any of the royals, so can't comment on the actress and her recent marriage.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

The title Princess of Wales is a courtesy title afforded to the wife of the Prince of Wales. Meghan is not Princess Meghan ... she is Princess Henry of Wales (she is not a princess in her own right) ... just as the wife of John Smith should be addressed as Mrs John Smith. Again archaic but titles are archaic aren’t they 🤔
