Begonias, impatiens, African marigolds, coleus, half-hardy bedding plants which always seem too garish or malformed in their flowers, chrysanthemums sold for All Saints Day graves dressing here and in Belgium, "blue" roses, pink delphiniums, pink daffodils and other such breeders' horrors........

I like euphorbias - the blousier the better! I forgot about variegated, especially if there's blotches of pink - yuk. Unless it's an evergreen and then only green and white
Gradually digging out my inherited Hostas,I too would like a bit more yellow after years of pinks and purples.I won't grow lobelia or petunias again, and much as I don't really like French marigolds, they have been a very cheap "filler", so some saving graces even if the bees find them disgusting.
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
Oi !!! (only joking with the Oi ((:' )) Hostafan !!!! I got my salvia hotlips from your friend Lyn and this set me off getting several more ,growing from seed of course!!!!! Thanks Lyn!!!!
Bedding Dahlia, bought some on impulse against my better judgement, such a disappointment. Also African marigolds (give me calendula anytime. I've decided from now on no bedding for me ( apart from pansy's and "snapdragons the old fashioned ones" not these new sickly sweet dwarf ones that were in the garden centres this year 😬. Going to fill my pots with perennials 😁 .
