When were they put in? There may have been a window between a wet spring and a baking summer where they were not watered a lot. I lost one sapling this summer for that reason. I wasn't on the ball, I missed a couple of weeks and the young tree dried up.
There looks to be a bit of green on some of them. Prune them back to that green and see what happens?
No need to feed them. It's deep watering needed, preferably in the late evenings or early mornings. Looking at a bucket for each shrub every other day if temperatures are above 25 degrees with soil like yours. The soil looks very dusty and dry. If they were planted less than a year ago, the watering has not been consistent and without good mulch over the base, they dry up quickly.
The crispy leaves are no good. Just cut the whole shrub down to any decent green areas and wait and see. If someone planted them for you very recently, then you need to get back to them immediately. It's possible poor planting/prepping followed by wrong watering management. Watering day and night is not always effective. Especially for shrubs, and when it's a light water in high sun.
I'd definitely send them those photos and ask for advice. If only recently done, definitely insist that they pay you another visit and take a look at them to make absolutely certain whether anything can be done to salvage any of them.
I think you may have been ripped off. Did you see what the root systems were like before they went in? I can't imagine who would be recommending planting shrubs at this time of year, with this weather.
I didn't see them go in I know they where in pots I have emailed but no answer do you think it would be ok to dig them up and try putting in top soil with a fertilizer
