It's OK if you don't have to work in it or are not a thirsty plant trying to cope in it. Watering all the pots thoroughly takes a long time each day and then we rotate the sprinkler round the veggie beds but will be worth it if they all survive and we keep our crops.
Apparently the jet stream has got itself stuck in an omega shaped loop and is sucking hot air up from north Africa. It's stable phenomenon that go on for ages and should eventually give way to storms. I do love a good storm to wash off the dust and clear the air.

Obelixx, there was a fantastic rock garden, with bridges over streams and ponds, and they have opened it all up. They also had a few self contained small gardens, dotted over the place, and most of these have gone, or are looking very sorry for themselves. It is still an amazing place, and we are very lucky to have it 15 minutes from our door.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
46C is a wee bit warm,I'll give you that. We've had a rather bracing 24C here.
You've got right soft living down there.... Rustled up some curry - not totally from scratch I admit, but it was ok. Nowt wrong with a pizza now and again AuntyR - especially if you make them yourself. I can't be bothered any more - but I used to do it when the girls were little.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Like I said AR, it's OK if you don't have to work in it. Forecast says one more hot day then cooler on Wednesday. Bring it on!
I had a yen for a pizza while OH was away so bought on at the SM. It was awful. I shall have a go at making some. Possum can help. We have loads of tomatoes for the sauce at least.

That must be a great disappointment for those who go to see it. I didn't like his Chelsea garden but I did like the original which inspired it when they were filming for the back story. Maybe it'll recover itself with a bit of time and care.

It's ages since I went to Chatsworth. It's a shame if they've tidied it up too much...
I finally cut the grass today, having unearthed the mower from the recesses of the shed and cleaned off the cobwebs... grass looks better, and I can leave it next week (when we're off to Ireland) with a clear conscience. Was dripping when I went back indoors though.
I'm going to Tyneside tomorrow to visit my sister and my Mum.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

They have rebuilt his garden, but it is looking terrible.
