Plant ID

Can anyone name this flower for me please - it was growing from our wild flower mix. Thanks.

    Could it be Epilobium Hirsutum?
  • I am not sure Borderline, although the description mentions hairy and this plant didn't appear to be, rather greener and fresher looking I would say.

  • I will try to get a better picture, there is a lot of other growth around the flower I admit.

    Easier to id if you can isolate it from the surrounding greenery so we can see its leaves.

    the flowers do look willowherb-like but the stem and leaves (and flowers) look like corn cockle, was that in the description?

    It doesn't look like Willowherb or Corncockle to me, I'll wait for the leaves

    That silene is a corncockle and it looks right to me.

    looks all wrong to me, look at the one that's facing the other way, coencockle doesn't look like that at the back
