Agapanthus is definitely one of my favorite landscape plants here in sunny southern California. It does well with neglect and heat and yet produces flowers that remind me of delightful English cottage gardens.
I have agapanthus which have been growing happily in their pots for 5+ years. Last summer they produced only a very few spindly flowers. Now, to feed or not to feed? What should I do to encourage more flowers this year
I have an Agapanthus that's been in a pot for 5 years now. I'm thinking of dividing the plant into two as it's flowered poorly the last two years. But I'm wondering just how I'm going to get the plant out of quite a big pot without damaging the plant? Does anyone have any useful tips on how to do this effectively?
I planted agapanthus tubers last september/october but having not grown them before I'm not sure when to expect to see some growth. I have alot of bluebells planted in the same area, do they look similar?

Mine are shooting now-small pointed tips about an inch high
Hi, thank you for all your brilliant comments, learnt a lot about agapanthus from them, however still got one question. Can I move my potted and still with green leaves A. into a dark garage (without window) for winter time? Please advise. Thank you in advance. Rob.

can you devide agapathus in late autume
Wait until it has died back-but remember they flower better when crowded and root bound.

I planted some seeds back in Jan which have sprouted, Will pot them on as needed but not expecting any shows until next year.
