    FGS.

You know what, I was trying to be helpful with a trick I learned on other forums that have been attacked by Chinese spammers.    And now I get accused of not being 'community-minded', whatever that means.

Well whatever.   I'll leave you to your campaign of action.

The spammers have  been seen off, at least for the time being ... let's get on with gardening stuff  :)

It is possible to add those 'captur' type things (or equivalent) to prove registrations are human. It's a while since I joined so I don't recall if there was one of those on this site. I would guess the team are having a look at what happened this morning to try to avoid a repeat. It's one of those things though - sites come up with defences, spammers find work-arounds. It's not possible to be 100% proof against them all the time.

No offence but - I was on here at around 6am, and they'd been spamming since half one. There was 28 or 29 pages by that point, and only myself and Hosta around - joined by Dove and one or two others by about 7 ish. There really wasn't much that could be done - certainly nothing until mods appeared to deal with it. They were posting at the rate of one a minute.

I had my work to go to !

I could see how many there were Fairy. I clicked on just one of the names and found there were 250 something posts, plus all the others. I know when I'm beaten

Well. I did some real gardening  this morning as opposed to 'research' on the forum.

Never a good idea to post a good bye blog, if you want to leave just go.
