Think you'll find Karsten is a chap ... or at least that's the impression given by his business website  :/

As a member of the Tena-lady club (thank you for that, Hostafan1!) I love watching and listening to Monty. I could do without the dogs, but Monty can prattle whatever rubbish he likes and I lap it all up. I just want him installed in my garden so we could muddle along together.

Caol Klein is sometimes  informative, but I get annoyed by the constant chuckle in her voice, and her sometimes inappropriate clothing. (But Monty's straw hat and braces - ah, bless!).

I've never claimed the term as my own, I merely repeated the term used by a female customer and her colleagues at the book shop where she works.

His braces don't even hold up his trousers, and his straw hat looks like those silly jeans " yoofs" buy with the holes already in place.

OH's straw hat has a hole in it ... but it acquired it all by itself on the hatstand  B)

IMO the thing Monty does is communicate a real love and passion for gardening to the viewer. You could be a really brilliant horticulturalist, or even Charlie Darwin and not be able to pull this off. What is obvious is that Monty LOVES his garden, and he can infect others with that love

    Indeed Hazel. :)
Been catching up with recordings lately, and seeing a dog on a gardening program all I could think of is "that will get a few people on GW whingeing". Soon realised it wasn't a Monty episode and was about a gardener who was blind.
    Great program. :)

Bit of a shame that you felt the need to repeat that piece of nastiness. It is rather demeaning to women...of any age. :(

I guess I am just thankful for not being called part of the sanitary towel brigade. :D
