I'm not joking.   When he stretches his legs out, he's the length of a 2 seater sofa.  I've seen the photos!

I'm sure you're not ... I used to have two very large jet black half Burmese cats with amber eyes ...they were big for domestic cats.   :)

However what I saw wasn't a domestic cat. It was a lot bigger than a German Shepherd...  I'm sure it was a melanistic leopard aka black panther.

Oh, I don't doubt you for a second.  It just reminded me of my friend's cat and her neighbour.

Did you have your cats at the same time as you had your black Labradors?

That would've looked striking wouldn't it  :) but unfortunately no. I had the cats as a young newly-wed. Sadly neither made old bones ... When we had the Labrador who became an important family member we were living on the small holding and Wonky and her brother had pet cats Smokey and Bandit ... a blue tabby and a marmalade  :)

Goodness what a coincidence, one of my ex colleagues called her two cats Smokey and Bandit.

There was a film and TV programme ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smokey_and_the_Bandit

Once you had a Smokey you had to have a Bandit  ;)
