Until the baby geese and ducks get a bit bigger, I don't venture onto the water.

There were buckets of bees on a flowering hebe last week. Like a mini swarm.

Hi all, I live in Hertfordshire, St Albans. In may and June I saw quite a few bees, but this July (2018) I simply have not seen any. I am out every day, and have a medium size garden full of interest and partially in flower. My Bhuddlia has butterflies, as do my cabbages (alas) but no bees?
As a young boy living in London, crickets and grasshoppers were everywhere, so were sparrows and London was infested with pigeons - will  bees be next?

    Have you seen any?

Yes, lots. I’m in suburban Kent.  There are bees and butterflies in my garden everyday, and I see them as I go about my day as well. :)

I've noticed the number of dragon and damselflies Hostafan, a small group of blue damselflies near the pond today. Lots of Cinnabar moth caterpillars on the ragwort. White butterflies and Meadow Browns. Lots of bumble bees but not many honey bees. Some rain would be nice, I've not known our garden to be so dry...

Loads of bees here and white butterflies.  The buddleia is just starting to flower so I'm expecting butterfly numbers to increase,
