    we dont know how old you are, haha, I think you should "gift" the garden to me it looks fabulous!
  • That's just a small area of the garden! At 65 and 68 my husband thought we were going to downsize, but I had other ideas. Fell in love with the place, though after 2 months updating and decorating we will be pretty exhausted by the time we move in
     So the garden has had to go a little native, but I have plans to add some colour to the borders

    At 65 and 69 I would expect you be be rock climbing and abseiling.

    I agree with Dove and Lyn, get someone reputable in to take out conifers etc that are in the way,and have a proper path. You must be safe,that is paramount.
    You will probably be able to plant whatever is removed,in another part of the garden.  I moved eight well established conifers once,by putting them in holes and half back filling for a week,a bucket of water every night and morning,then filling completely,but still watering. They were all fine.
    The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
