That's just a small area of the garden! At 65 and 68 my husband thought we were going to downsize, but I had other ideas. Fell in love with the place, though after 2 months updating and decorating we will be pretty exhausted by the time we move in So the garden has had to go a little native, but I have plans to add some colour to the borders
I agree with Dove and Lyn, get someone reputable in to take out conifers etc that are in the way,and have a proper path. You must be safe, that is paramount. You will probably be able to plant whatever is removed,in another part of the garden. I moved eight well established conifers once,by putting them in holes and half back filling for a week,a bucket of water every night and morning, then filling completely, but still watering. They were all fine.
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
