On a positive note: South West Water have said " there is no prospect of a hosepipe ban as reservoirs are still over 80% full" In my last house I had to have a meter fitted as we used " an unattended garden sprinkler". There were two of us both out at work all day. Next door had Mum and Dad,adult son, adult daughter, her husband and baby. The house was never empty, the washing machine seemed to be on all day every day, and the toilet flushed constantly. They had 3 cars which were all washed weekly with a hosepipe, ( left running constantly during the process ). They also had 3 jet skis which were used every weekend during the summer and were all rinsed off every Saturday and Sunday nights when they came home. I had to have a meter , but they didn't!! And why should I have been paying the same "water rates" as them? Give everyone a meter. If you use it, you pay for it, every drop.
