I had a nice time Wednesday, made certain gardens and the floral marquee my priority, came home with perennial Helianthus 'Flying Saucers' & Agastache 'Blue Boa' to add to my collection. I regret not purchasing Phlox Blue Paradise and Echinacea Sunseekers Yellow/Tanz. Wednesday was the cloudiest day but we still found it too hot by 3pm so ended up leaving without seeing everything.

I agree with those above, the bees were out in force, especially over the Dutch allium stand.

Eryngium Big Blue featured everywhere, show gardens & for sale. Pleased to see lots of Agastache too.

Oh & Hardy's display was incredible as always.. as was the nursery whose name escapes me.. they were on the BBC2 coverage in the week for the private collection of dark leaved Dahlias. The owner was very approachable and told me all about the Dahlia he named after his daughter when she went through spine surgery.

Thanks for posting everyone.  Will watch tv coverage on catch up. Love the Health and Wellbeing garden.

That was my favourite, Yvie (though I suspect Apeiron would have pipped it to the post had I not missed it!). It was small and had a lot in it, but somehow balanced each part harmoniously. Also had a lot of umbellifer shapes which do it for me!

Hi , I am going there tomorrow, I believe it’s the last day. Are there roses on sale? And how are the prices of plants- cheaper or more expensive than garden centres?

I would say the prices are the same as garden centres. I didn't notice any sales. It's the usual, if you buy three plants, there's small discount. Or did you mean selling roses? If so, yes, roses are for sale.

Yes, planning to buy a couple of roses amongst other plants, depending on how carried away I get

I can't be sure about roses, but otherwise I would say that there are definitely bargains to be had. Things are not necessarily 'cheap', but there are often 'show prices' which are a little (or a lot) lower than usual. I always take into account the p&p I'm saving and the fact that I'm getting the exact cultivars I want, rather than the ones the garden centre have bought in. And buying direct (usually) from the growers, with some advice thrown in.

Yes, check out the Rose tent MM. Far, far more variety than any local GC.
